Our story begins with the vision and dedication of our founder, Kristal Pearl. Born in Selma, Alabama, and raised in Seattle, Washington, Mrs. Pearl's journey in the world of natural hair care is nothing short of inspirational.
In 2012, with a dream in her heart and a flair for natural hair styling, Mrs. Pearl opened the doors of Gifted Hands Salon right in her living room. Her passion and expertise quickly resonated with the community, leading to the establishment of her first franchises in 2014 – Gifted Hands Salon, Gifted Hands Natural Hair Bar, and the cornerstone of her vision, Gifted Hands Academy.
A Vision for Community and Education
Gifted Hands Academy was born out of a desire to serve and uplift the local community. Recognizing a gap in specialized natural hair care education, Mrs. Pearl set out to create a unique learning environment. Today, Gifted Hands Academy stands proud as the first and only natural hair school in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
