Natural Hair Stylist Course Details:
Course Modality: Our program is conducted on-campus at Gifted Hands Academy, blending various teaching methods including lectures, demonstrations, visual aids, printed illustrations, and interactive computerized activities. We believe in the importance of in-class attendance for a complete learning experience. Program requires 300 hours of instruction and performances. Students are eligible to take the N.C. Cosmetic Arts for Natural Hair licensure upon complesion.

Admissions Requirements at

We highly encourage all prospective students to visit and tour our academy or take our virtual tour. During your tour, you'll get a firsthand look at our dynamic learning environment, observe our educators and students in action, and meet with our campus manager. It's the perfect opportunity to have any of your questions answered and to get a feel for the GHA experience.
Orientation and
Skills Evaluation
Before beginning your journey with us, you'll participate in either a group orientation or a one-on-one meeting with an administrator. We also conduct a skills evaluation for each student to understand your current skill level and tailor your learning experience accordingly.
Application and Documentation
To apply, prospective students must:

​Be at least 16 years of age or older, as evidenced by a driver's license/state ID, and Social Security Card.

Complete and sign our Enrollment application.

Possess the ability to read, write, and understand English.

Scheduling Your Start
Once you've met these requirements, our admissions representative will assist you in scheduling your start date.
Application and Registration Fees
To apply, prospective students must:

$199 registration fee, which includes a Forsyth Tech Community College student ID. (A $5 fee is applicable for a replacement GHA ID, if needed)

A $150 technology fee is required when applying to the program.

A $250 GHA Kit fee (kit includes text books, mannequin, blow dryer, combs, brushes, clips, and capes)

Total Cost $599
The balance can be paid in full or three installments of $199 each

Class Schedules
Day Class Schedule:
- Phase I: Our Hybrid Day Class offers flexibility in completing your theory book work. Classes are unlocked Monday 12noon to Thursday 12noon to allow students to complete guided theory, and in-person sessions on held Saturday & Sundays from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Hybrid classes are both online and unperson each week as required by state board.

- Phase II: After the initial nine weeks, classes transition to in-person sessions ONLY on Saturdays & Sundays from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM for the remainder to complete the required 300 theory/practical hours. class is roughly 16-20 weeks to complete the required hours and prerequisites.

Night Class Schedule:
- Phase I: Our Hybrid Night Class offers flexibility to complete the theory book portion required. Our online portal unlocks Monday 12noon to Thursday 12noon to allow students time to complete guided theory, and in-person sessions on held
Friday-Saturday-Sunday 5 PM to 10 PM.

- Phase II: After the initial nine weeks, classes shift to in-person sessions ONLY on Friday-Saturday-Sunday 5 PM to 10 PM for the remainder to complete the required 300 theory/practical hours. Classes take 16-20 weeks to complete.
